What "Classic" song would you like to see Al parody?
We've heard Al parody American Pie, Piano Man, MacArthur Park, & Lola. Which "classic" song do you thing would do well as an Al parody?

A parody of Bruce Springsteen would be fantastic.

At this point I don't think we will ever see a Bruce parody. Als been doing this for almost as long as Bruce and he's never touched him aside from the Grammy special and an Al TV video, but never a parody or polka. I don't see Bruce having that big hit at this stage in his career

Even though he's had some of his best selling albums and tours during the last decade, the point is moot because the question is which classic song Al should parody. I would think that a parody of Born To Run could happen any time. I do agree though that it's very odd that Al has never parodied Bruce despite their having somewhat parallel careers.minnick27 wrote:I don't see Bruce having that big hit at this stage in his career

Going a little off topic with this, but one of my very first exposures to parody was a cassette tape called, "I Dig Dinosaurs," which was a collection of style parodies of popular songs, with new lyrics about dinosaurs. I didn't know any at the time, but my parents did. One of the tracks was a Springsteen style parody called Born To Be Extinct.

I think a Pink Floyd parody would be pretty cool.

Yeah so many options there. I can't believe they haven't done a Floyd or Zeppelin parody for an album, at some point in the 80's. Should have slipped Whole Lotta Lunch onto Dare To Be Stupid or something.
What a racket they're makin', Jack, they keep me up at night playin' their electric guitars!!

Even if the members of Led Zeppelin allowed it, could "Whole Lotta Lunch" have been fleshed out beyond what went into the Food Medley?Yankomaniac wrote:Should have slipped Whole Lotta Lunch onto Dare To Be Stupid or something.
