Re: Best album closer
I was flopping back & forth between Jackson Park Express & Good Old Days but eventually went with Jackson Park Express because of its style & length. Mr. Frump In The Iron Lung was tied with The Biggest Ball Of Twine In Minnesota for second. Albuquerque would've been my third option.

Some people say I'm the one who got Al to be in an Epic Rap Battles of History.

What, no love for SFTCTM? It's the perfect length (in my opinion), doesn't fizzle out like DDTS, doesn't overextend its welcome like JPE, and the production value is incredible.

Re: Best album closer
SFTCTM is of course amazing, but I just was so burned out on listening to a lot of Jim Steinman/Meat Loaf works since I was younger that I just didn't love hearing it as much. It of course is a great original but I for some reason I anticipated so much more from the music video. Well it's not much more but I wanted to see Al singing the song on a stage but with a choir behind him & stuff just putting his all in to the performance. The typography fits the song so no complaints, just a petty thing I suppose.

I liked it when I first heard it, but now I have a hard time getting through the whole thing. It just hasn't held up very well for me.minnick27 wrote:I have listened to SFTCTM maybe seven times since the album came out, i just dont like it
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

I am very surprised that Good Old Days and Genius in France haven't gotten a vote. Also I've always felt that Albuquerque was basically a parody, and since I like Dicks automotive better I can't have that song being better than Al's best album closer.

I voted for Twine Ball. Albuquerque isn't bad...but it's not my favorite.

Ball of Twine man
God tier Al song. Probably one of the best closers on anything.

Well "Bohemian Polka" is just my favorite out of all of these songs, and very nostalgic as that song is basically what made me a Weird Al fan when I discovered him in college.
If judging it as the best way to round out an album, I'd probably go with Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota.
