FYI I am reading all of these. I just think it would be redundant to say "Awesome work, keep it up!" every time.

Sure. But if you have any suggestions, I`ll try and see what I can do.

This week I`ve been working on 5 songs:
-Close but no Cigar
-Confessions part 3
-Weasel stomping day
-Germs
-Slime Creatures from Outer Space

In these five songs, teh one I prefer is Germs because people now, thanks to the flu and the new diseases found everyday, are scared of germs - uh, the only problem with this is that or entire world is made of bacterias. For the "microscopic bacteria" low-voice sound, I had to change slightly the pronunciation of "bacteria" so that it`s one more syllabus.
I didn`t do White and Nerdy since I don`t know too much about the geek world.

Tomorrow will be UHF.

My boyfreind told me don't cree
Come to my houss, don't worraye,
we'll talk about this togeedurr."

Man, do you have any divination powers?

I`ve been working on it today, between two classes!

Here`s song #15! In your comments, you can explain what I have missed and you would have liked to read or which joke you would have prefered to see.

15. UHF

T`as qu`à te préparer un petit repas télé
Colle-toi bien le visage sur l`écran
On va te montrer des trucs jamais vus avants
Si tu vois ce que je veux dire, là

Pas touche aux boutons
Ne baisse pas le son
On a tout ça sur UHF
Enlève tes souliers
Viens t`étendre un p`tit coup
On a de tout sur UHF
Laisse tomber la lessive
Oublie ton boulot

Song #16 will be Ringtone. It`s the first one off IL, and I did them all but Craigslist. I also discovered Stop DRagging My Car Around, and I already found the French title: "Cesse de traîner mon char partout".
"So I went in my garaage, got in my care
And I drived, talking with my blue teeth
My boyfreind told me don't cree
Come to my houss, don't worraye,

Re: Iama`s Weird Al Song Translations

In the very first page of thos topic I was talking about François PÉrusse, and now I have found all the reasons to compare him with Weird Al. I noticed he had made many parodies and some of his songs strongly resemble Al`s. Let`s see...

Le Blues du Blues (the Blues of Blues) -> Resembles "Generic Blues". It has the same pattern: teh guy wakes up, everything is bad, he`s cashless, and he hates himself, but in the end the sing got an excellent beat. Even though music is less present in Pérusse`s song.

C`est beau (it`s beautiful) -> This is a parody of the hit European song "C`est Beau". While the original song is extremely light-hearted, this oe has a darker tone where even though everything goes well, many people have mental/suicidal problems. It`s same as Al`s style to completely transform the meaning of a song in its parody.

C`est la vie (That`s Life) -> Resembles One of Those Days and WDTAHTM. IN it, the guy makes two major mistakes which cause him to lose all his teeth. Then he gets dentures but that night as he was going to have a shaky night with his wife, he gets punched once more. But that`s life, after all.

Cette petite chose qui te sort du nez (That Little Thing Coming Out of Your Nose) -> Resembles Gotta Boogie. It`s all about people who got a little thing coming out of their noses at the least appropriate times, and how to avoid such a situation.

Assis sur mon tracteur (Sitting on my Tractor) -> Resembles Weird Al`s wacky love songs. In it, a guy recalls when he met his wife when they were young and he does that while sitting on his good ol` tractor. We even end up wondering wich one he prefers between his wife and his tractor.

Caroline -> Imagine that one as the fusion of Melanie and YP - the YP guy singing his love for the uninterested Melanie. Just replace Melanie by Caroline and the loser by Roger, and voilà. In that one, he confesses his love for Caroline, a secretary at the office where he works, but his dumbness always makes troubles when he tries dating her.

Gonk Tän Gross Mörv -> In this song, Pérusse parodies the Russians` French accent, much like Al has parodies Mexicans in Taco Grande and English-Spanish accent in Lasagna. However the story (when you finally understand it) resembles Gotta Boogie once more. The title, once translated would sound something like "throw away your fat snot"

Les petites bêtes (The little insects) -> This also resembles Weird Al`s habit of making songs about anything. In that one, a guy expresses his deep hatred towards every existing insect. The clip can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIHpyEqev98 The text Pérusse`s cartoon form (disguied as a bug at the beginning) says: "You hate seeing te least fly, the least insect? Well thsi song is especially for you!"

Partir un jour (To Go One Day) -> This one parodies "Partir un Jour", by the European group 2be3. In it, Pérusse makes fun of the group`s lousy style for a boys band.

Pauvre Père Noël (Poor Santa) -> This song resembles Al`s Anti-Christmas songs. In this one he depicts a normal family party around Christmas. One of the giftf was an IKEA table but it ended up as a post-modern artwork, something totally different than a table. Also, Santa gets in trouble with a chimney-less house, cannibals and an escalator-less building, and a woman yells at a Christmas tree seller.

Satanée Marde (Dam*ed Sh*t) -> Thsi song parodies Whigfield`s Saturday Night. In the end we learn the people who sang in that song are actually in a mental hospital. It adds some opera, some country and some more dumb music - and an organ solo at the end, with a guy whose laugh is awful... here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQF4GTTfy5Y Video made by a fan.

Snack Bar Chez Raymond (Snack-Bar Raymond`s) -> A food song! This one remnds me of Al`s past food-reated songs. Its main story is about a snack-bar which is anything but healthy... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-R5kWlboQVA "Hey, come on! You gotta admit we got enough of healthy food. Let`s go get hot-dogs."

Ma Jument (I dunno how to translate that) -> Once again transforming a god ol` style into a new thing. The old "reels" from Quebec`s past were the inspiration for this. At first it is an old man who sings a song with only his tapping feet for music. He yodels as much as he sings. Later, as we think the sing is finished, it turns techno and everything the man has sung becomes part of a remix which gives it a cooler look. Reminds of Al in a way. I onyl got the technoless song on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3ZiXnwzyJk If you want a traduction, there`s not much to undrstand here actually

Chanson Censurée (The Censored Song) -> In this song, a French singer sings about a porn movie, but all the offensive words have been censored and replaced with comical sounds, like Al does often in his polkas. However, the last lines are almost entirely censored, with the offensive words uncensored... the technician messed it up.

Une histoire américaine (An American Story) -> About the Clinton-Lewinski scandal. It`s one of the most used recurring gags in Pérusse`s skits. There are mentions of this in about 25% of my collection. It`s Pérusse`s 27. :great:

I Got the Pawa -> This parodies I Got the Power, obviously. In it there`s a single person who sings "I got the pawa" at inappropriate times, messing trhe song up, and the main story is about two people, far from madly in love... "Rock you all night," "Oh throw me rocks all night long!"

La Bolduc du Jour (Today`s Bolduc) -> La Bolduc is one of the very first singers of our province. She yodeled and played piano and her songs usually talked about everyday problems in the 50s. In here Pérusse`s Bolduc compares the good old days with today`s situations.

Le Lave-Vaisselle -> (The Dishwasher) -> That song is about a guy telling his girlfriend that no matter how smart she is, she doesn`t know at all how to fill up a dishwasher. All this with some Arabian-like music. This reminds me of the strange situations in Weird Al`s songs.

Le Soleil (The Sun) -> This reminds me of Al`s accent-parodying songs, once again. This one parodies the reggae style and the French accent of a Jamaican. It`s like "Buy me a Condo".

Les Simpsons (The Simpsons) -> This song parodies Bart Simpson`s song Do the Bartman. In it Pérusse makes fun of Bart`s family and mostly his spiky hair.

Le temps des fêtes (Holidays Time) -> Another somewhat anti-Christmas song. Not as rough as Al`s CAGZ or NSWC, but still a little.

Mon prof de gym (My Gym Teacher) -> This song parodies Pump Up the Jam, and its story is about a teenage girl who hates all her teachers. All but her gym teacher, that is. His shorts are so tight that they all see his "key set", if you get what I mean.

Le rap du mille-pattes (Milipede`s Rap) -> A song about songs and dances. It talks about popular 90s artists, and also the beginning of rappers. However the main idea is a comparison between a lot of dancers dancing altogether in such a synchronization that it looks like a milipede dancing.

Tu fababounes (You`re still angry at me) -> A rock song about a man whose widfe is extremely angry at him for unknown reasons. This one is pretty recent and is excellent. Reminds me of Since You`ve Been Gone for the story, but looks more like any of Al`s rock songs.

Vive l`Amour (Love Rules) -> Another song where the title lies about the content. This song has two versions; French from France and French from Quebec. In it, Pérusse says that "love rules", but all the remaining lyrics are insults and curse words. The beat reminds me of Hardware store since it is very hard to sing. Seriously. I`ve tried and I`m unable to follow the lyrics.

Plate Allright (Boring all right) -> This one parodies Black or White by Michael Jackson. I know it will insult many of you, but Pérusse didn`t ask for the permission to do this song (anyway MJ wouldn`t have agreed - it mostly references his troubles with justice around 2004...)

Vampires -> Thsi song parodies Ozzy Osbourne`s style. This short 30-second song sounds very Halloween, with monsters galore and satanic references, however it is all sung on a happy tone, just as if all this made the singer happy.

Toune de Noël (A Christmas Song) -> This is a medley (which I wouldn`t mind tsee turned into a polka) with only Christmas songs. But the segments from Christmas songs have been transformed to have comical lyrics. Some are about an office party that went awry, a guy who`s too drunk to remember where his apartment is, a family who buys real turtles instead of Ninja Turtles, a running turkey... weirdness.

Les infopuns/ Télé-achats (Infomercials/TV ads) -> The French and Quebec version of this song are different, but they each talk abotu television, like some of Al`s songs. It`s funny because it relates some dumb items that can be bought from infomercials, like a door-to-door-seller-buster, a scratch-here-even-if-you`re-there, a painter-roller-crosser-thing... anyway, lots of weird stuff. It would be a great idea for Al. He hasn`t made any song about infomercials I think.

Saint-Néant (Saint-Boring) -> This town is almost like the one at the beginning of Hardware Store. It`s a very boring place, hence the name, Saint-Boring. Even flies make sure not to arrive too fast there. The song is all about what this town has... nothing, that is.

J`suis un raté (I`m a Loser) -> Here it is, Pérusse`s YP! The loser sings here and gives examples of his "loserness".He`s the biggest loser ever for sure. That guy is even worse than the YP guy I bet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mt1WoiM5 ... re=related
