Ohhhhh that's how you say it!

Whenever I'm in my Spanish class and they ask who my favorite musical artist is I say:

iComo me encanta la musica de Al Yankovic!

Some people get it...
"Beneath this pillow is the key to my release...I believe she misinterpreted my intentions entirely."

Yeah, I learned back in high school that in Spanish, love is reserved for living beings, so saying "I love Weird Al's music" doesn't make sense to folks who speak Spanish, so you say you are enchanted by it instead. Yeah, someone else had used Al Extraño upthread from me, and I'm remembering the term extraño as meaning strange or weird, so, yeah.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

Ооо, как отрадно мне видеть на форуме эту богиню - Кириллицу! :P

Wouldn' that be me?

Just kidding! Congrats on picking up the Russian girlfriend, ours are the best! :)) I'm from St. Petersburg, it's about 5 hours from Finnish border. And where exactly will you be?? I mean, you both sure can be my guests, but Russia is huge, ya know. I highly recommend you St. Petersburg, though... :F

:o
My girlfriend also comes from St. Petersburg (really). She lives somewhere on the Dal''nevistochniy Prospect so that's probably where I'll stay. I'll be in Russia somewhere in June I guess (yes, the white nights)

And the Russian language is very hard to learn for me, but I already can read several things. My girlfriend is learning Dutch which isn't so hard for her to learn (because she also can speak English and even a bit German).

Oh dear Lord... ! :o

Now that's what I call DESTINY!!

Well, I can now imagine what happens!! Dal'nevostochnyi Prospect, which is Дальневосточный проспект in Cyrillic and which stands for "Avenue in the Far East", is, duh, not exactly in the downtown, but that doesn't mean that I won't play my accordion and lots and lots of Al songs to you!! Hey, maybe even our comedy rock band will have a concert, so you'll be our dear guests!! Hoozah! We'll show you everything: the Hermitage and the St. Peter and Paul's Cathedral and lots of stuff! Man, how awesome!
