Dont think so. It was from a guy in melbourne. Ill have to ask a mate about that. Region four is our region i believe its region one that you need to see if you can play. You can only play that if you have multizone on your dvd player.


Ill have to check out chaos.

It's a way for the studios to control how a movie is released around the world.

Since movies are released in different countries at different times of the year, a movie could already be on home video in North America by the time it hits theaters in Australia. Using that as an example, region encoding prevents an Australian moviegoer from importing the North American DVD, thus forcing them to go to the theater if they want to see the movie.

So, in short, it's simply a marketing tool.
