I don't know the very last occasion, but he was wearing them on the first tour in 1983 (which ended in June) and probably on scattered dates throughout the year. But by early 1984, he was wearing black parachute pants, signifying the end of a fashion era.
Why? For one thing, they must have been very hot onstage. And MTV was Al's pal by then, and he wanted to look slightly more rock & roll. I guess changing pants was a suitable step in that direction!

I LOVE those pants!
Assuming Al still had those pants, I'd love to see him wear them again in concert. lol Really! But, not if they're gonna make him too hot:) I would NOT want that. Guess we'll just have to live with the memories.
I wonder where those pants are today? (No need to answer that Bermuda for I'm sure you don't keep track of Al's pants. Just wondering out loud.) But if you DO now..do tell. lol
