hey, bermuda, has al ever considered writing any more 11 minute talking story song things like the wonderful albequerque? :smile: i would SO love a new one!

that would be cool. :smile: its mos def my fave of all of weird al's songs, and i would love another song like that to have me rotflol.

What was "Albuquerque" supposed to be a style parody of? One of my friends says it's based on some old Iggy Pop thing...

I don't know, it sounds like a lot of things to me, pretty generic really. It's sort of reminiscent of Tonio K & the "Happy Birthday" feel.

Was Albuquerque recorded in a single cut?

Did the band play the instrumentals?

Was it rehearsed a lot?

Yes, but we did go back and fix a few things.



I don't know what you mean by "play the instrumentals"... we play everything.



Not really, there are only a few different parts for us.
