Cpu Quota Errors

I just posted this message in the Invision Board Problems-topic on this forum:

I just optimized the database, I hope that will fix things.
Also, the reason why CPU quota exceeds is the use of large images in avatars (e.g. > 60KB) on external hosts (ImageShack).

After a short chat with Bluehost I decided that to wait for one more week. If things don't improve, I will "update" my account to an "High CPU usage"-account (which will cost me $150)

So, please make sure your Avatars are not bigger than 60KB 14KB!!!!

WHiZZi, is this just the avatars that we need to worry about, or any image file?

Any image file.. Posting a large image is never a good idea, mostly for those with dial up and a limit on the data-traffic.

So for large images in a post, we should just post thumbnails or links. Gotcha.

Please keep avatars under 14K--if you need an avatar to be resized, post it here and someone will take care of it for you.

Ok, I've noticed several avies that are linked to large images. Later this evening, I'm going to delete them. And I'm not going to bother PMing everyone with the reason why.

Check your avie size, and fix it, or it will be gone.

Size Guidelines

If you relink to the same image or another that's outside the guideline, I will remove your ability to use an avatar.

Time to get rid of these CPU Error messages.

ETA: I guess I can't remove your ability to have an avatar. But I can warn you, and/or suspend your posting privileges. Please don't make me do that.
