This has been pretty successful in the individual album forums, so I wanted to see what people think is the best song that Al has ever parodied. Forget everything about Al's parody (for example: "this song was begging to be parodied" is not a valid argument here). The question is which of these original songs do you enjoy most on their own merit?
Because we are limited to 27 poll options, I've chosen the top 2 picks from each album except OTDE which is a blowout. I think this is a reasonably fair way to cut down the choices since these polls have been up for a year now. If you think the correct answer isn't listed in the options, just register your choice in the thread below.
Forgetting about the now well-known Weird Al parodies, which of these twenty seven original songs do you actually like the most?

It's tough, as I really love a lot of these. But in the end, I have to go with Piano Man.

Well I wanted to pick American Idiot initially because Green Day is one of my favorite bands. Then it was between that and Under The Bridge. I can't pick which one so I'll just go with American Pie. That song will withstand the fall of time.
What a racket they're makin', Jack, they keep me up at night playin' their electric guitars!!

How can I be the only vote for American Pie? Keep in mind we're voting for the song, not the band. I wouldn't pick Don McLean if we were voting on the groups themselves.

i would say "Lump" by the Presidents would be my favorite of all these, it's one of my all time favorite songs, but nirvana was probably the best target in terms of the band.

Personal favorite: either "One Week" or "Money For Nothing"
Objectively: probably "Smells Like Teen Spirit"

Money For Nothing/Beverly Hillbillies I still say is my favorite parody. The original songs lyrics aren't that great but the music is certainly amazing. Al made it so much better.

What? No 'Mmmmm mmmm' by Crash Test Dummies? Just kidding. I'm going with the King of Pop's Beat It. MJ saved Al's career.
