Pollak is a poker buff/player from way back. I thought from the drunk police pic Al posted that perhaps the fam was in HI. Has Al ever done private gigs? The blog post referenced here is NOT about the WSOP BTW.

Even if the post is not about the WSOP, still there was a reference to somebody having Weird Al tickets for that night. Maybe just tickets for an "appearance" or a M&G, not a concert? And yes, Al has occasionally done private things. He did one for a So Cal homeowners' association, he's done music-industry things.

I'm sure the "drunk police" pic is from HI, but he doesn't always necessarily post them right as they're taken. I did think he was in HI myself, though, until I saw the WSOP tweets. This is the only chunk of the summer that makes sense as a free block of time to go vacation there.
