Michael Stipe played an ice cream man on Pete & Pete. Michael Stipe "wrote" the lyrics to Cell Phones, as performed by Al Yankovic.

There...topic! :)

The worst thing about The 90s Are All That is the fact that it's only two hours per night, and so late. I'm lucky that it's on from 9-11 here on the West Coast but geez you folks out east are really out of luck. There's enough material there to do a 24 hour network, I think.

Right but at least half of it was syndicated like Looney Tunes or Nick at Nite.

I do hope there is a retro 90's nick channel created. But for now, DVR is recording everything 90's NIck perfectly for me :)

I do.

And, to bring this sort of back on topic, it's been announced that Rocko's Modern Life will be shown in blocks of The '90s Are All That. Rocko had Mr. Lawrence and Tom Kenney involved, and both collaborated with Al. So...

Stan Freberg, someone Al cites as a major influence, is mentioned in this CRACKED article along with his disastrous airline ad campaign.

Also on the subject of '90s TV...

In Living Color

I know it was never on Nickelodeon and has nothing to do with Al, but it's a show I've been getting more into lately that I thought was worth mentioning.

LOL! In Living Color is, hands down, the best show from the 90's right along side the Weird Al Show, and Ren and Stimpy, and Beavis and Butt-Head

Doug Benson tweeted that he wants suggestions for new guests and return guests for Doug Loves Movies, and someone suggested that Al come back.
:D
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?"

So awesome!
