Does anyone else think the video for "Polka Face" may be "simultaneously" released with this DVD? I'm starting to think that's the case since we haven't heard anything about it yet, but we know it's done since those of us who've went to the concerts so far have seen it in full.

It's certainly possible. I would expect the Polka Face video to show up on the DVD, and maybe they'll show it during the Comedy Central special as well. I would think at this point, since we know it's done, it seems to make a lot of sense that Al is waiting until the special airs to release the video.

Yeah, I think that's the only thing that Al could be waiting on now. The video was played at the Lancaster and Toronto shows. So, it's obvious that it is done. It's definitely going to be on the DVD and the TV special since it played behind the band while they were performing the song. I wouldn't expect much more than that. Possibly when it debuts behind the band on TV, Al will post it up online.

I'm still thinking that this special will debut sooner rather than later. I could see this premiering sometime around September/October if not close to Thanksgiving. I say this because the last live DVD was released a month after it was taped. I'm also still hoping that Al will release the Polka Face video to YouTube some time before the DVD comes out. He did say it would be about a month, so I'm thinking this could debut sometime within the next two weeks.

I saw a tweet today that said that this would be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on October 4th in Canada. No word yet on the Comedy Central airdate. This has yet to be confirmed by Al, but I think this means we could be getting to see this earlier here in the states. Discuss.

Yeah, I can't find this on Twitter either. But, if this does end up being the release date, it is great news! Especially for the fact that, most likely, we'll get it a bit earlier here in the states. Can't wait to see this.

October 4 looks to be the date for the US Release, as well. Just found a listing for the Weird Al Yankovic Live: The Alpocalypse Tour DVD on BestBuy.
