We already know the alleged "Polka Face" video will not be on the DVD, so I guess the concert mash up will be shown on the next installment of AL TV.

I have never cared much for them but it is a good idea i guess so all of his music can get out there but i dont know if its just because i dont watch the right shows but i have never seen any of the animated videos just on regular tv. Only on youtube and the SOL cd.

And i think he was just trying to hype up the cd for the people who follow him on twitter who are not huge fans of his and just casual followers by saying that every song will have a video

And I personally would rather see two good live anction videos instead of many animated videos but its Al's vision and he can do what he want with it and i will watch no matter what :great:

Didn't Al say he enjoyed those My Little Pony polka videos that were on youtube? I wonder if he got that person to do it?

No, those videos are done by various YouTube users. The people that made them are only responsible for syncing up the video segments from the show to Al's polkas.

Al's latest blog post confirms that there will be a video for this, with both animation and live action in it.

It doesn't matter whether you win or loose. What matters is whether or not you can spell "lose" correctly.

Wow...I'm really looking forward to that. Let's just hope Bill Plympton isn't one of the animators.

Reposting this because I didn't notice there was a separate thread for the video. It's confusing having some of the Alpo threads in here and others outside of this sub forum.

Here's my prediction of what the polka vid will be -

The "Poker Face" section will be done in the same way as the "Perform This Way" video, with the blue outfit from Gaga's "Poker Face" video. I think this because it was just after the video was shot that Al announced there would be a video for every song on the album. So I'm guessing he recorded the "Poker Face" section during the same time. This would be the little bit of live action that he refers to in his blog.

Then, I'm guessing he has called back each of the ten directors from the other ten videos on "Alpocalypse" and asked each one to do a different portion of the song. I think this would make a lot of sense because the video would be a nice follow up to "Perform This Way" and at the same time sort of summarize the animation on the rest of the album.

Well if I wasn't overruled by a certain admin, that wouldn't be happening

This is great news and I can't wait to see how this turns out! My guess is that the "live action" will be concert footage of Al playing accordion from one of the Toronto shows next month used to bookend the video. I think it makes sense that Al would ask the same animators again since I highly doubt Al has it in his budget to hire 20 animators for ONE album!
