If this were ever released, I'd buy a copy of it. If Al's label ever forces another compilation (Volcano doesn't seem to do that, though), this would make sense as one.

Al's current contract calls for at least one more cheesy compilation, if I recall correctly. Essentials didn't count, right? Or did it?

The Essentials was a compilation album, yes. It's less cheesy than some of the others, but still a compilation.

Yeah, that's why I'm wondering if it fulfilled the contract or if we might actually see a "Greatest Hits 3" or "Songs Al Did in the Key of F Sharp" in the future.

The Essentials was released by a different recored label... one that Al himself is not on, the reason he got an "essentials" is because he's reached that point in his career and they decided to give him one. This does in no way whatsoever count as one of the cheesy compilations that are required to fulfill his contract. He still has to put out two.
