Certainly a different side to things than we usually hear. I did like the story about Al's picky eating though clearly it must have been a vegan/vegetarian thing.
I couldn't tell a dirt clod from a plate of caviar.

Smells Like Nirvana
I never thought I would hate a sln cheerleader. For this woman hating Al so much, she sure did notice everything he did
Talking about music is like fishing about architecture- FZ

Re: Smells Like Nirvana
haha, wow.
Well, she was able to look like she was enjoying herself for that one picture. After reading that, I think Al's "entourage" was probably stage crew or people that worked at the venue. Honestly though, there are plenty of things I could correct about that blog post, but she seemed to WANT to hate the whole experience. (Minus free food, apparently.)

And there, my friend, you have put your finger on the essence of the matter. I hope her sense of superiority gave her as much pleasure and happiness as meeting Al does, normally, to people who meet him with no preconceptions.OneWAY wrote: she seemed to WANT to hate the whole experience

Wow. It is my dream to be a SLN cheerleader. Haters gotta hate, but this girl's got it down. Btw, who is the diva here, really?
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:
"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11
So awesome!
Al Team #325

Re: Smells Like Nirvana
Not everybody likes Al. Anybody who hates his music always will and there's no changing that. It would be like if I was invited to dance on stage at a Green Day concert. I hate their music. Would I do it? Sure. Would I enjoy being there? Not so much. She already dislikes his music so she went into it planning to hate being there.
It's a pity, but what are you gonna do?

Indeed, but why make it a chore? That's poor sportsmanship in any degree.
I think that if you don't like a band, but are asked to do something for them, you should at least be able to enjoy the aspect of being on stage and being loved for it, and at least be able to respect who you're working with as a person that can entertain people and make them happy. At least having that bare-bones appreciation would make it more enjoyable.

Re: Smells Like Nirvana
So was that a creative writing assignment? Al a diva? Al not having time for a fan, and acting too important to talk to her? And Miss Disinterested was certainly all smiles in the photo.

I shouldn't care, but, OK, I'm curious. What show was this? The post is dated April, 2009, when Al wasn't on tour. So when and where (was it Straight Outta Lynwood, or Poodle Hat?) did Al do two shows in a day, somewhere near Chicago?

From the hair and shirt he had I'd say Poodle Hat.
