Who's Genius In France???

Postby Seva » Sat Aug 02, 2003 5:36 pm

No, really - who's GIF? I wonder if Al has mentioned a concrete French celebrity! Now, if that's so, who could that be? Let's see what he (or she???) has below (without trades of character like quickest tractor on the farm who sips perrier):

1. Bad toupee
2. Stripey shirt
3. Stupid beret

And don't forget body odor and visiting Cannes regularly and so on.
So, any guess? Marcel Proust? Sartre? Camu? Depardieu???

I don't have a clue... And you?

Don't all French people wear toupees, stripey shirts, stupid berets, and have foul body odor? :P

Couldn't be Depardieu, they say they love him more than Gerard Depardieu"
(Hope I spelled that right)

Y'all need to pick up some Frank Zappa albums. Then you'll understand what GIF is all about.

We do know that Genius In France (the song) is a Zappa style parody. We're discussing the possible identity of the Genius in France (the character in the song). Both Al and Dr. Demento have mentioned the Jerry Lewis connection.

Not that picking up some Frank Zappa albums is a bad idea. :)
