Anyone use Al in a story?

Postby "Lethal Luke" Bannon » Mon Jul 01, 2002 11:33 am

I wrote a couple of stories with Al as a character (they mostly suck) and a poem about him on fanfiction.net has anyone else written a story about or featuring Al?

Back when I first became a fan (1993), I made a comic about Al. It was left "unfinished" for a long time, and I had plans to make more comics, but never got around to it. But in 1999, I did a "re-make" of that '93 comic, which I personally gave to Al shortly afterward. I had planned on making a copy of it, but I ended up just giving the original to Al (yes, a comic so rare, that even I don't have a copy! ) I started another comic about a month after the remake, but it's left unfinished, but even so, I think it's kinda lame.

But, I'd love to do more Al comics/stories and such in the near future. In the meantime, though, some of my 'net friends and I have done some occasional "roleplays" in chats...

During the Halloween season in my sophmore year in high school, my English class had a creative writing thing where we wrote a "scary" story for about 5-10 minutes, and then passed the paper to another person. My story that I recieved turned into aliens that looked like Weird Al abducting a person, if that counts...

You mean they finally made an Al section at ff.net?

Too bad it's down right now! :(

SOrry, fanficion doesn't have an offical Al section but it doesn't stop people making him a character in other stories (One person wrote a HILARIOUS story called "Weird Al's Goku's Vegetta's adventrues which is REALLY weird.) I just use Al as a character in some of mine, like recently I started a Cannonball Run story and Al and the band along with some song characters are a team in it.

Like C-type, I've also done a comic book version of Another One Rides the Bus, but that one wasn't finished due to a lack of space on the paper and a lack of drawing skills.

And that screenplay version of Albuquerque. I don't know what to make of it, but the fact that there are two Alfreds in it confuses me at times. I might be ambitious enough to do a comic book version of it someday, but I'd have to change the first Alfred's name to Bob.

I also wrote a few really, really stupid poems about Al and the band and AlCon and stuff.

Oh..Drat. I've written a couple of fanfics just about Al or other Al fans...but um...incompleteness due to laziness and only momentary's burst of creativity.

Have I written stories about Al?

Of course!

Have any of them been seen by any other human being?

Nope. They're all too STUPID! :stupid: I finished one...in the finest tradition of fan fiction, it has Al being generally picked on throughout most of it. (I actually went rather light on him compared to some of the horrorfests I've read...*shudder*) And of course, the band's in there too...

Oh, and Al's currently a star in a story that I never intend to finish.

Smegabyte *doesn't take her fanfics seriously...they're more of an excuse to be goofy. Hmmm...sounds familiar.*
