Houston Concert

Postby Jan27bday » Mon Jun 16, 2003 11:25 am

Well Saturday I was at the Verizon Wireless Ticket place when it opened and lo and behold, they had a presale! I was really looking for front row seats but had to dish out 70+ bucks for 2 seats on the side section. Why are these pre-sales not advertised? I was quite angry.

But at least I'll get to see an Al concert.

They did this in Dallas, too

Postby effulgent » Fri Jun 20, 2003 3:32 am

I was so looking forward to front row center or dang close, but I found out from a friend that they did an online presale after it had started and I got fifth row, off to the very side of the stage. So I'm going to be getting lots of views of Steve and Ruben and the speaker. Which isn't a bad thing, but it just seems unfair. Thank Bob that I had a friend that accidentally stumbled upon the Dallas pre-show fact about an hour after they went on sale. It just sucks though because I know a few people who really feel screwed about both the Dallas and Houston show.

Star Tickets sucks.

Try not to feel too bad, folks. This tour seems to have been overrun with "surprise" presales that weren't announced until the last minute. More than a fair share of fans had the same kind of luck, no doubt.

The concert was AWESOME! I'll definately go to any in the future.

My friend got Al's attention after the first verse of "The Saga Begins" by yelling "WOOHOO" after "that's where we found this boy".

Most fun I've had in a long while, and Al admitted a screwup on the second verse of "Melonie", said it was the biggest screwup on tour so far.

PS: Sorry for posting the new topic Elvis, couldn't find the other topic when I searched.

Edit: Melonie:)

You were with the YooHoo guy? That was hilarious!!!! You could
tell Al was trying not to laugh so he could continue the song. It
was a kick @$$ show!!!!Very entertaining. When he admitted that
screw-up and decieded he didn't want to do the song he said that he'd
sing the missing part out in the parking lot afterwards. Well when he
came out for autographs, after he stepped onto the bus for a second,
he burst out in song!!!It was so cool!!!!

I HUGGED AL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was kinda like he forgot a verse or brainfarted or something.
He really wasn't getting into the song.So he appolagized said he'd
sing the missing part in the parking lot after the show then sang
then sang the last part of it. It was really funny and cool.

BTW Did I mention I HUGGED AL!!!!!!!!!!!!! :onfire:

Sorry..*grins sheepishly* I've been driving friends and family nuts
by going on and on about it, but I got tickets(2nd row!) as an early
birthday gift and hugging Al was like the coolest best birthday gift ever!
He gives really good hugs. Nice and firm with just the right amount of squeeze.

My friend had work early today, so we decided not to stick around. We thought with Jay's new band playing in an hour they wouldn't have much time. Boy were we stupid. He really sang the second verse? That's AWESOME.
