I'd love for him to parody Prince and NOT ask for permission, and then rub Campbell v. Acuff-Rose Music, Inc. in his face.

I would picture bands who were parodied by Al performing his songs. I would foresee The Offspring doing Pretty Fly For A Rabbi, Barenaked Ladies performing Jerry Springer (though I think they'd perform a darling version of Melanie), more I cannot think of now...

This is an excellent idea! And yes, the Barenaked Ladies would do a great version of "Melanie". Also Cherry Poppin' Daddies doing "Grapefruit Diet" would be good- along with (not a parody) AC/DC doing "Young, Dumb and Ugly" would be amazing!

I would also love a celebrity-filled Weird Al tribute album. With Bruce Springsteen singing Biggest Ball of Twine and Elton John singing This Is The Life.

For some reason I thought EJ was dead for a long time. Shocked me to learn he wasn't.

TMBG doing Everything You Know Is Wrong?
It doesn't matter if I do things for a reason, or on a W-H-I-M... Just stand back and enjoy the show, cuz baby, I perform this way!

Elton John even has a baby now, at the good old age of 62.

I'd like to hear Gordon Lightfoot sing Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota. :peace:

I'd Love Al to tackle "Smoke On The Water" and /or "When the Levee Breaks" and/or "Kashmir"...
pretty pretty please... any thing like that

Re the celeb tribute album.. It would be so much fun if Eddie Vedder sang MBILWEV and Billy Joel sang ISBJTM

Despite Al saying nothing but good things about TMBG as long as he's been around, and being such a big fan of theirs, TMBG themselves seem to dislike Al a lot, even refusing to acknowledge that "Everything You Know is Wrong" is supposed to sound like them.
