Oh, yeah, that made me feel real good about reading this article.
*insert sarcasm font* - What did Al say that was?

Re: Make The Rock Hall Weird 2.0
Let's see, whose opinion should have greater weight...the music editor of National Public Radio or the webmaster--err, I mean, "managing editor" of a college paper who seems to be more in his element covering basketball?
I'll try not to lose sleep over this tonight.

Good point. Why did they even have this guy review Al's new cd, anyway?
I think we all know who's really full of crap.

Actually, he didn't say that. He saidTMBJon wrote:I liked the part where he said an end-to-end listen is unbearable.
Perhaps he would find a beginning-to-end listen more acceptable? During which he might reflect on the rules for use of indefinite articles before words beginning with vowels?a end-to-end listen to the collection is unbearable.
He also said
Grammar, people!Original works such as “Everything You Know is Wrong” and “Dare to be Stupid” drip with elements of New Wave and Post-Punk that could of made “Weird Al” peers with Devo and Talking Heads had those bands took themselves a shred less seriously .
I'm not going to listen to music criticism from people who haven't mastered basic copy editing.

I'd be willing to give the guy SOME kudos for the pun involved in a song "dripping" with elements of New Wave (perhaps it stood too close to the edge of the Surf Guitar?) but I don't think he even realized what he was saying.

Re: Make The Rock Hall Weird 2.0
Was reading my paper today and they had an article about Al, and he has an interesting quote regarding the hall. The full story is here:

Something else I found a bit amusing, misspelling his name in print
