I'm with Ryan on this.
Why should we care whether or not Al gets a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame? It's completely meaningless, much in the same way the Grammys he's won are completely meaningless. They might be indicators of his accomplishments and such, but ultimately, it doesn't mean anything. In the grand scheme of things, Weird Al Yankovic is just a meaningless blip on the rapidly moving pop culture radar that will be forgotten. In fact, the idea that we would even continue to buy his albums or go to his concerts or even discuss him in any capacity is completely meaningless. It just doesn't matter one iota, because he, like every other single person who has ever done anything of any interest just doesn't matter, because it's insignificant. Will anyone remember him in a hundred years? Two hundred? No. So, it's a gigantic waste of time to dwell on something so stupid and pointless like this. In fact, why even bother having this forum exist? Why does Al NEED to be discussed in any capacity? What is the purpose? So his fans can communicate? I really don't get why a big deal is being made over crap as insignificant as this.
I’ve got 99 problems and they’re all red balloons.
