6/27/10 Holmdel. NJ PNC Bank Arts Center(MOVED TO NEW VENUE)

Post by Alinite27 »

Attending this show. We decided that it only made sense, after traveling up to Gilford, that we'd stop at Holmdel for the show at this venue. Never been here before, although, are friends in the east have said that is a great spot to catch a show.

Looking forward to going here for the first time...

I may skip this one, trying to not use my vacation all at once.

I wish I knew how some of you guys had the time and money to go to multiple concerts this year, let alone the 5 to 10 or more some people have listed. Not that there's anything wrong with that, all the more power to ya I say. If Al doesn't come any close to Connecticut this year (and considering he's passing right by us during the northeast leg of the tour, he probably wont), then I'll probably either be at this show, or Westbury.

I think for most of us on the forum(the fanatics at least), it's a matter of priorities. We know that Weird Al goes on tour every 2-3 years, and we know that if we're gonna spend our entertainment dollars, We'd rather get a few Al concerts over other stuff. Personally, I often skip the movie theater, trips, carnivals/fairs, the boardwalk by the shore, other entertainment activities, and save up my pennies so I can go hog wild for a week or two and road trip to a bunch of Al shows.

Basically, I don't have any more time or money than any average joe, I just skimp on all the other stuff so I can do this when it comes around!

Can't wait to see you at the show!

I just go without food. I have a little disposable income, so I just save it for al concerts. They announce the shows far enough in advance for me to be able to figure out where to save money. And since the on sale date is ahead of the concert, it gives me time to build up tshirt and travel expenses. I'm not going to go hog wild on tshirts this year so if I skip buying 3 shirts that's another concert I can get to. And overtime is a wonderful thing

I pretty much only leave my cardboard refrigerator box to go to work and when there is an Al concert. It's a completely sustainable lifestyle.

I live on ramen noodles and porridge and baked potatoes to go to the USA. I'm not at all wealthy, I'm long-term unemployed, but it's like James said, Its what's most important to you that matters
