If Al does the show, I wonder how much energy he'll be able to put into it. He's gotta be torn up inside right now. Anyway, to those of you going, give Al a gigantic hug of condolence from all of us here on the forum.

We don't know yet. There's been nothing to prove that he isn't doing the show, but don't be upset in case it is.

The show is still listed on weirdal.com and the venue website. If not by now, any moment now the decision will need to be made. There's setup time involved, plus the venue would want to know as early as possible of a show cancellation, so it can let it can let its employees (and patrons) know whether to show up or not. I think if that decision was made already, Al's people would have let the venue know by now.

Nobody can predict how one might react in a situation like this. Al very may well want to be performing tonight. A two hour distraction might just be what Al needs now. As anyone who has seen a show can attest, he works hard up on stage, and there's very little downtime to let the mind wander. He'll be keeping his mind very active and focused on other things, and that might just be how he wants to deal with the situation.

There is no show scheduled for tomorrow.

For those of you going, if he does do a show, let us know if he says anything or if he will treat it like a regular show. :(

Yeah, I agree with you, Elvis. Al may want to do a show, just so he can get his mind off of it for a little while at least. I seriously doubt he'll do a meet and greet after, though, if there is a show at all. The venue would need to know pretty soon, though, if there wasn't going to be one.

If he plays, I'm sure he'll get a huge standing ovation.

It's entirely possible that most the audience won't even know about it.

Well then someone should go and stand up for him. And give a stand ovation then.
