Incidentally, the Pacific Amphitheater is well over an hour away from Al's home.
Well, it's close enough that the schedule sometimes allows him to sleep at home when he plays there. I always think of the Greek, OC Fair, Del Mar as ALL being home shows, because those are the ones that have lots of Al's actual personal friends and family members turn up.
I went to see Al in Chehalis. Yes it was more laid back than usual, however it made for a unique and fun experience. When he came out for WBUL walking through sawdust in the front 15 rows--it just added to the humor of it all. I didn't notice any trains disrupting--up front, the concert was fairly loud to even notice that. It was a beautiful night, something we Northwesterners don't take for granted. I'd love to see Al play at a winery too, but I was blessed he even stopped within an hour of my home. Al delivered his typical over 2 hr. concert, and with the small crowd that was there--he and the band were highly appreciated by the audience.
