I can't believe that I haven't replied in this thread until now. What the is my problem?
Anyway, this is a good song. When I first saw the music video as part of The Complete Al I figured that this song was from this album, but needed to know for sure (I wouldn't have the internet for another four months).

Every so often I go see what the blogs are saying about Weird Al, and I find that just now DTBS is getting a lot of love:
There's this self-identified geek rediscovering his appreciation:
Based on the 2 of 6 Rule this guy finds Al to be funnier than Devo.
And here's someone who finds that Weird Al is a kind of personal prophet:

Most of the things I loved when I was ten have since proved themselves to be sophomoric at best - I currently find the Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles, for example, to be somewhat lacking in tone and structure.
Based on the 2 of 6 Rule this guy finds Al to be funnier than Devo.
And here's someone who finds that Weird Al is a kind of personal prophet:
I know, its all kind of blasphemous, right? I mean over here, behind Door No. 1, weve got the archbishop emeritus of Cape Town, who helped end apartheid in South Africa, won the Nobel Prize, and whose ticket for heaven is rumored to read: Section 1, Row 1, Seat 1.
And then over here, behind Door No. 2, weve got the guy who sang Dare to be Stupid.
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

I'm guessing that's a line from the song?Orthography Enthusiast wrote:You can be a coffee achiever.
How old was that last signature? I mean, really?

I just thought it was interesting to see what the line "you can be a coffee achiever" (which is in the song "Dare To Be Stupid!") was referring to. I hadn't known. In 1984 I didn't own a television.
