Playing off of this idea, imagine a very backwards world in which 1992 and 1993 happened simultaneously. Any of the 23 songs on Off The Deep End or Alapalooza could be released as a single album of 12 tracks, and they would be equally culturally relevant. What album would you create in order to make the best possible album, using the standard 5/6/1 album ratio of parodies to originals?
Offthepalooza:
1. Smells Like Nirvana
2. Frank's 2000" TV
3. Bedrock Anthem
4. Trigger Happy
5. Achy Breaky Song
6. Young Dumb and Ugly
7. Bohemian Polka
8. I Was Only Kidding
9. Jurassic Park
10. Traffic Jam
11. Taco Grande
12. You Don't Love Me Anymore

That looks like a much better album than the real "Alapalooza."

Re: Could "Off The Deep End" Improve Alapalooza?
that's actually a pretty darn good (and improved) album. However, I would make a few slight tweaks, if I were putting it together:
Alapadeepend:
1. Smells Like Nirvana
2. Frank's 2000" TV
3. Livin' In the Fridge
4. Airline Amy
5. I Can't Watch This (remember, I'm taking into consideration the cultural relevance of 1992-1993, not current day relevance)
6. Young Dumb and Ugly
7. Bohemian Polka
8. Waffle King
9. Achy Breaky Song
10. Trigger Happy
11. Taco Grande
12. You Don't Love Me Anymore
This is kind of a fun idea. Maybe we should do it with Polka Party! and Even Worse, too.

I'll give it a go.
1. Smells Like Nirvana
2. Trigger Happy
3. Achy Breaky Song
4. Young Dumb & Ugly
5. I Can't Watch This
6. Frank's 2000" TV
7. Polka Your Eyes Out
8. When I Was Your Age
9. Livin' in the Fridge
10. Talk Soup
11. Taco Grande
12. You Don't Love Me Anymore/Bite Me
Maybe not the best arrangement, with three TV songs (including two back-to-back,) two late food-centric parodies, but to me, this represents the best of both albums under the 6/5/1 limitation (I'd drop Talk Soup for Bohemian Polka if I could.) There are still some songs on here that I would skip today, but if this album came out instead of the two it replaces, I would still consider it a strong release.
