Wouldn't that be sweet-Al's 4th Grammy on Nina's 4th birthday?
I met Tony Papa in New York City at the Beacon Theater in 2000, a very gracious man indeed. I had him autograph my Weird Al songbook. I'd just be tickled if he got a Grammy for SOL.
A hopeful thought: with the Oscars, films directed/produced by actors are usually heavy favorites to win for Best Picture because the vast majority of Academy members are actors. Since Al is much more closely tied in with musicians than the other nominees, this might help him here. [Let's just hope that that doesn't lead to the reemergence of the dreaded 'spoken word comedy only' restriction. That one came up as the result of Peter Schickele's many comedy Grammys, since the classical musicians would vote as a bloc for him.]
