Yeah, there are so many questions that go into these decisions... including "How likely are these artists to continue touring in the future?"

And by that criterion, Steve & Pete are much more likely to be there onstage on an ongoing basis for their fans than Paul and Artie are (at least together-- individually is a different story).

Is anyone going to go to see Ak & Zuie? Don't forget to post a review. And pictures would be cool.

Ak & Zuie @ Whisperz didn't happen. But at least I got to spend a little time with Vikk & another pal of hers. Vikki inquired-- apparently Steve & Pete did show up, but Pete wasn't feeling well, so Steve just took him home.

Maybe they'll show up there again sometime (Thursday nights are apparently a showcase for "emerging talent"-- wonder how many more decades Steve will have to play & record before he's considered fully emerged? :P ) but if the scheduling guy has any mercy at all toward the other acts, he'll put Ak & Zuie on last, because following that act would be way too tall an order for any of the wannabes, even though some of them were pretty good.

I talked briefly to one of the owners of Whisperz, who was quite impressed at how far people were willing to come in search of Ak & Zuie. She said, "Maybe I'll have to hire them!" So, hey, if Steve's day job doesn't pan out, he and Pete can be a bar band!

It was about 40 miles for me; maybe 160 for Vikki. But she had other reasons for visiting LaLa Land, I believe.

That's dedication. Too bad A&Z weren't able to play. Get well soon, Pete.
