The Sporkman wrote:A lot of TMZ's articles and videos just show celebrities doing mundane things too, though. Look! So and so is boarding a plane! This other person is eating lunch! And this one's at the beach with their family! Wow! It sounds like that's more the focus of the song, all the pointless, privacy-invading sort of stuff.

Yeah, I heard that too. I just think the song would be funnier if it was about a celebrity doing really dumb things in public that would obviously attract attention and then acting like their privacy was being unfairly invaded. Al did mention in an interview that the listener shouldn't be able to discern that easily whether or not they should side with the paparazzi or the celebrities. That clip obviously makes me want to side with the celebrity Al is singing as. I just thought that concept would be a funnier way to turn this song on its head.

Maybe near the end, it takes a twist and the celebrity likes all the attention and starts flaunting the mundane "Look at me, I'm buying a frozen pizza in a local grocery store in my pajamas..." for the paparazzi.

I was also thinking that maybe TMZ loses interest in the celebrity, and the celebrity begins to miss the attention and starts doing wild things to attract the cameras.

New lyrics in from this podcast http://kroq.radio.com/2011/06/13/kb-podcast-monday-june-13th-repo-games-rocky-the-musical-tmzs-harvey-levin/:

Spoiler:
The bad hair day and sweat stain T-shirt,
That's the story that they're gonna feature,
With exclusive pics of your flabby behind.
Ya think ya all alone but that's right when you'll find . . .

A bunch of . . ."

And then it breaks into the chorus.

This song's already starting to sound better thanks to those revealed lyrics!

Just listened to the segment of that podcast. They played it while they were interviewing Harvey Levine, which I think is the guy that runs TMZ. He didn't seem to like it very much, but they said they would send him an mp3 of the full track, with the suggestion that he put it on the TMZ site. So, we need to keep checking TMZ, as it may very well premiere on there!

Because of Al's celebrity friend connections, I'm expecting this song to get the most hype after hearing it. They will relate to this one best, and therefore talk about it the most. This one will get pretty huge.
