Here's a possibility for this song that I don't think I've seen on here yet: Maybe it's about a guy who works for TMZ and is about finding celebrities doing weird things and taking pictures of them.

Considering that the original Taylor Swift song is essentially about an obsessed girl semi-stalking a boy (at least that's how I take it), this sort of first-person POV (reporter for TMZ as a celeb stalker) would actually fit nicely over the original.

I think he'll use the song to run through various made-up headlines that you'd expect from the site but would be too ridiculous for them to actually use. He hasn't done anything like that before, has he?

I'm hoping he goes that route - even using hypothetical celebrity "types" instead of specific people. You've got the Lindsey/Paris/Britney type, the Tom Cruise/Mel Gibson type, etc. But I predict he will go with more specific celebrity references, using names and such.

Well, look at this potential bright side - This song may very well have the potential for having its lyrics altered for concert performances to reflect more current news, like "Headline News" was. We may very well have Charlie Sheen or Arnold Schwartzeneggar references in the concert versions.

I think this song could be about some regular type person who is just obsessed with the site and show and checks them both religiously. It certainly wouldn't be the first time Al has taken that approach to any song ever. Still, I think it would be funnier if it was written from the point of view of some paparazzo.

...and trust me, if some site like Amazon or Shockhound actually puts up preview clips for any of the unheard songs within a week of the album's release I will be sure to use a spoiler tag when attempting to transcribe said lyrics. I've done it before with CNR when it's topic was in this very forum two years ago.
