I think that once the band comes back to California for this part of the tour, there's no reason for the band to be driving around in a bus... whenever they don't have to prep for a show.

Al and all of the band members live in So. California, in Los Angeles or in the greater LA area.
They've had the past few days off, so they went home to see their families.
It's only a few hours' drive to the last 2 gigs on this part of the tour, so Jim probably drove himself to the venue. The other band members probably did the same thing.

It's obvious from the picture that Jim's dead. His twin brother Kimo posted the picture and filled in for him at last night's show. RIP Jim.

I had not checked the dates in a few days, i knew they were still on the road for the rest of the week i just failed to remember that they would be in LA. I dont memorize their whole tour schedual. I can see why they woud ditch the bus and drive around on their home turf and see people they may not have seen in a while.
