I wonder if there's such a thing as a very serious Al fanfic.

You can get away with a great many deal of things in funny fanfics. :D

Plotholes can't be yelled at in funny fanfics! :onfire:

Like all of you, my works are also not serious. Not just Al stories, but ALL my stories period. I would never intentionally do a serious story, and if I do, please take me out and shoot me.

But if we're dealing with Al, it SHOULD be funny! Al is funny, is he not? And like Smegabyte said, they're just excuses to be goofy (kinda like a certain movie that was released on DVD one month ago...). That's how it goes. Even Al's own skits are pure silliness, thus fanfics should follow suit.

I tend to follow the philosophy of Yankovic and Demento- have fun with it, and don't take it too serious.

I wrote a really good (IMO) story featuring Al, written in the style of a well-known book series. I wrote the story several years ago and even sent it in to CPFOA and to Bermuda but I never received any sign that either of them had received it. I have been trying to find a place to post the story. I don't have my own webpage and I don't know if it would be appropriate to post it here.

Scottidog or Elvis, do you think it would be okay to post the story as a separate thread here, so that people could read it easily and respond to it in the forum?

If I was to ever use Al in a story, it would have to be a cameo. I'm actually writing a story right now, but it's set in the very distant future, so I don't know how Al could have anything to do with it.

DON'T HELP ME OUT ON THIS ONE. The story HAS to be my work only, because its for an entry to a writing camp.

I will blue-card anyone who attempts to help.

QUOTE
SOrry, fanficion doesn't have an offical Al section but it doesn't stop people making him a character in other stories (One person wrote a HILARIOUS story called \"Weird Al's Goku's Vegetta's adventrues which is REALLY weird.)

I would happen to be the author!

To fill you all in... "Weird Al" Yankovic's Goku's Vegeta's Adevtures (WAYGVA) is a crossover containg Dragon Ball Z's Goku and Vegeta, and you guessed it, our boy Al! :D

Of course, weirdness, insanity, and pop culture collide.

I'd give you all a link to the story, but I'm not sure if the mods would accept.

Well, I'll ask, so you can post a link to answer my plea.
And I use Al in almost every fiction story I use for English, or some mention- Plymouth Belvederes, spatulas, and Al himself my most used cameo.
Work, is play. Tofutti break today.
