Gee, listening to three similar demos of "Stop Draggin' My Car Around" is JUST too much WORK... I wish I could just listen to them all at the same time.
Oh wait, I can! :-D

I would download this just because I don't necessarily trust that a site by the name of "zippyshare" is going to be around for that much longer.
I also notice you have a SoundCloud embed in that link. What other projects of yours are on your soundcloud page?

So Al's been consistent about tempi and performance from the beginning.

Well, in this case, Al used the same basic track (without vocals or accordion) every time and just kept revising the vocals - and in the case of the third demo, adding the familiar accordion solo finally.
I noticed that the accordion solo has a LOT of tape speed problems - not evident by listening to it, but only when you try to synch it with another demo - as if he wore out the tape trying to dub the solo onto it.

No problem! As you might've noticed (you're on my Facebook), I've done a bunch of these with the same methods for the Monkees too, including (if I can remember)...
* I'm A Believer - two vocal takes synched
* Nine Times Blue - Davy duets with Michael
* Daddy's Song - Davy duets with Michael
* Auntie's Municipal Court - Micky duets with Michael (you actually can't tell, really)
* Daddy's Song - Davy, Davy and Davy (three different performances!) duet with Michael
* I Don't Think You Know Me At All - Micky duets with Michael
* Can You Dig It - Micky duets with Peter
