Wouldn't Al have problems getting interview rights for a new Al-TV? I am not sure I see an Al-TV remake here.

The new teaser leads me to believe that there will be more fake "interviews" and that this web series will come to replace AL-TV as we know it (sine Al-TV has been reduced to just the interviews anyway but with Al's music videos occasionally thrown in for good measure). Still, I'm pretty excited for this and I'm starting to think getting clearance to use specific footage for TV and for the internet are completely different.

I suspect that getting the rights to use the interview footage for the fake interviews might actually be easier for a web series.

With AL-TV, he had to get the rights from both the original station that owns the footage, permission from VH1 to broadcast said footage and if they're having a dispute because of some stupid reason, it'd wind up with only two interviews with two "celebrities" that already have a sh*tty reputation anyway so nobody could get in trouble like the SOL ALTV.

With this, he might only need the original footage.
