I have always wondered, whay isn't Ruben in any of the videos?

He was in The Saga Begins, playing the piano like Darth Sidious!
He may have been in a couple others, but my best bet as to why he isn't in many is because he has been with the band the shortest amount of time of them all.

A few reasons:
1) The majority of Al's (non-animated) videos were filmed before Rubén joined the band (in the 80s, when music videos mattered).
2) Rubén is primarily a touring keyboardist. Therefore, if he's not available the day of the shoot, they would probably just go on without him as opposed to, say, Jim, for whom they might reschedule part of the video shoot.
3) Al and his record label would be able to save money by having to pay fewer band members to show up, especially a band member who does not play on the song. Other than The Saga Begins, can you even think of the last Weird Al single that Rubén plays on?
4) Rubén is just so freakin' ugly, Al didn't want to feature him prominently. This explains the Darth Sidious hood in The Saga Begins.

Ruuben is also in It's All About the Pentiums, though I think only in a few shots. None of them in particular show any real clear views of him.

I don't know if you were joking or if you know that as fact, but if Al really thought he was so ugly do you think he would have put Reuben in the cone bra?
Oh, and he was also in the Headline News video despite not playing keyboard on the actual track.

If someone's not sexy and they're trying to be sexy, it's funny. The less attractive someone is, the funnier it is. It's just a staple of comedy since... forever.
