Awesome! Like Mike, I'm not the biggest fan of DC animation, but I'll definitely be checking this out.

Re: Al to voice villain in new Batman animated movie
I was waiting for Al to do a fun but serious acting role. It was just a matter of when and why. I guess all it took was a Batman scene to get that.
This is no comic relief character. This is no dark comedy character. This definitely isn't something you would typecast Al for playing.
This... is a disturbing character. No nonsense. He sets the tone for the film and lays the overlapping themes about child abuse and more in the film.
Al's mannerisms will be recognized by avid fans but this isn't him at his most recognizable. You will have fun showing this to people so you can say "...okay.... that was Weird Al."
Also your discretion advised before you show the scene to a kid. For the most part it's alright until his last seconds.
Al, if you are reading this, you did a great job and I hope to see more like this so long as you had a great time.

So I forgot all about this coming out. I just started watching and HOLY smurf! Al is like a legitimate voice actor. I know it's Al, but the general population would not recognize that it was him. My wife didn't know until I told her and she said yeah, I can kinda hear a little bit of his nasal tone. But yeah like totally not Al.

Reflecting back on a lot of his cartoon appearances, sometimes I wonder if he was often told "I'm sorry but we expected your voice to be....well...weirder. Can you be weirder for us?"
this was a change of pace.

Well most of his appearances tend to be wacky characters. I just wonder how he got the job. Did Andrea Romano just say "Hey, I think Weird Al would be perfect as the dollmaker" and then have to convince everyone else only to have Al come out with an actually decent voice

Now that I know it's him, I can recognise him whenever he lowers his voice, but if I didn't, I'm not sure if I even thought "It sounds a bit like Al"... I'm afraid I wouldn't suspect a thing . Good job indeed.

It's available wherever dvds are sold. Also on Google play. I'd assume iTunes has it as well. Als part is less than 5 minutes, he's not the main villain
