Is AL-TV returning or did you find a nice interview? Just tell the folks here.

It's evident from the structure of the episodes that we are watching two half-hours that were meant to be seen separately. Usually (but not always) this happens when the network decides after seeing some rough cuts that the show is not as good as they thought, or at least that it wouldn't get good enough ratings as a half hour. And as it turned out, even at a full hour, the ratings for Galavant have been pretty terrible.
I could definitely be wrong, but everything about this show to me screams single season.

The ratings indicate that there will be no season two. They started strong and went down steadily over the four weeks.

The way the show ended, or rather, didn't end, sure indicated that there would be a season two!

Anyway, good news, the soundtrack includes "Hey, Hey, We're The Monks"

The CD is being released on February 17, or you can download the mp3 right now if you can't possibly wait that long.

Yeah, they practically dared ABC to cancel them. "Well you can't end the series on a cliffhanger, can you???"

My Name Is Earl tried that at the end of season 4, and we still never got a season 5. <_<

Is the CD available for pre-order? I just get a "Currently unavailable" message.

Why yes, Anth! However, it's been pushed back a month to March 17.

No idea how the hell this happened, but Galavant got renewed. No word on episode count, but hopefully Al will return.
