It's highly possible...note that the pic on www.weirdal.com is cut off right below where a hat would be...

But there is a question. Where did you get all this information, Dave?

Over the years I've learned how to use the Net to get information I need rather quickly. In this case it wasn't too difficult because some other people did it before I had the chance. The album name and tour name came from posts on amw-a. The Simpsons pic came from a fast search I did of Simpsons fan sites.

So here's the $27 question... if this really is the Album Name, and the release date is on 5/20/03 then why is wa.com being so suspenseful?

Because other than the few of us on WOWAYF and the other popular online hangouts (and we are only a few of us when you consider all the Al fans there are in the world) the majority of Al fans will receive this info for the first time from Weirdal.com.

Hang out with the "big boys" long enough and you'll find out that this happens more than you might think. Don't get me wrong, Weirdal.com get a lot of information first, but there are other online and offline resources that have the information too, and sometimes they share it before Weird Al wants it to get out, or before Weirdal.com gets a chance to update.

Think about the last few concerts that were added. They were posted here and elsewhere first. For BHD, the fact that there was a U2 parody on it leaked on "Entertainment Weekly" about a week before the release date. Offspring leaked info in an interview that they gave Al permission to do a parody for what turned out to be RWS. And RWS was on the shelves in a few areas a couple of days before the official release date. Track listings and lyrics followed shortly thereafter. Setlists for TWS and OCF were online moments after concert goers got back from the venues.

We'll have a lot more info on this album before the release date from various online and offline leaks. And with the Internet being used by so many more people than it was just a few years ago, probably the most info we've ever had. But even so, there will be a lot that we won't know until we get the album in hands and CD players.

Don't worry, Weirdal.com will release the info when it's ready. In the mean time, if you don't want to know, unplug your computer because I have a feeling in the next 2 months, there will be a lot of leaks!

You can send the $27 to me by Paypal, cash, check, or money order. Thanks.

Obviously, I don't hang out with the "big boys" as much as I should... Being a newbie fan, I stand in the shadow cast by the "big boys." Well, all I can say is, I hope you are right. The sooner I have Album #12 in my hands the happier I will be.

Um, yeah. Speaking of which: No news is... no news, huh? (Can someone chip Jay out of that glacier long enough for a quick dictation?)

Ah, gotta love the internet for leaks, no?

This I would never have suspected for an album name. Then again, I never know what to expect. :)

Poodle Hat. A play off of Cat In The Hat?

My first thought was that it was a play on "poodle skirt," especially since the logo on the tour rider looked very early-60s-esque.

You may be right. Al wouldn't look too good in a poodle skirt.

And no, I don't know why he would look good in a KILT :lookround: but not a skirt .

Connotations.

Of course, a poodle skirt would go nicely with the tight pink Angora sweater that we've already agreed we're glad we never saw in a video. :P

I say, fine, go with the poodle skirt, but let Suzanne wear it. California is a community-property state, so it really amounts to the same thing legally as having Al wear it, doesn't it?

As a more authoritative source than the California State Legal code said "Consequently they are no longer two, but one flesh..." so, um, sure... it works for me.

Besides, I really think she has the better figure for a cute little pink poodle skirt and matching sweater. Not to mention the darling little rhinestone pumps...

We'll let Al keep to the more manly attire, shall we?
