WOW! For me is weird read that some one appreciate italian singers, groups and filmmakers...
I always thought that people know only Roberto Benigni e Pavarotti!!!
The only thing that i know about Dario argento is "Profondo Rosso"!!

WOW, amico mio, you really cheered me up with mentioning Profondo Rosso (1975)! It's been my favorite movie for a long, long time, along with another Argento masterpiece, Suspiria (1977), which he wrote with his wife Daria Nicolodi, who also played in Profondo Rosso. I've been actually a huge fan of his, and I still am, but as long as Tenebrae and Inferno are good movies, I still consider those two mentioned above as the highlights.
About singers. You know, there's an eternal weird cosmic connection between Russia and Italian nations. We still don't know why, but it's probably all about that blowing temper and emotional kind of behavio(u)r. So, if you turn on some Adriano Celentano song for a Russian person, you'll freak out because of that busting effect that this song produces on him. Thus, Italian music, especially form the 70's, is very popular around here, and some artists like Toto Cutugno or Ricchi e Poveri are still in high rotation on radio retro-channels.
About movies. I was born in a highly cinematographic family; my mum is a popular writer and film critic, and my dad host his own TV show about world cinema. As a student, along with Argento, I became also a huge fan of Fellini films. I watched a lot of them; indeed, 8 1/2, Giulietta Degli Spiriti and others stuck in my head without getting rid of those weird characters and tunes, but Le Notti di Cabiria(1957 and La Strada(1954) are that kind of films that you won't easily forget.

Yup. Some early Verhoeven films, with Jeroen Krabbe and, of course, Rutger Hauer in them, are still around on TV.
